Chapter 34

The Rizzano estate transformed from a peaceful sanctuary back into a heavily fortified interrogation zone. The bright, natural lighting of the mansion felt oppressive as every member of the household staff was systematically questioned by Dante and the senior capos in the subterranean holding cells.

Alessandro sat in the surveillance hub, watching the security feeds with a terrifying, sociopathic detachment. He reviewed the footage of the east wing corridor, analyzing every frame with robotic precision.

"We found a discrepancy, Boss," Marcus reported, stepping into the hub. "The primary server shows a three-minute looping glitch on the camera facing Livia's window at 4:00 AM this morning. It was an incredibly advanced cyber-intrusion. The feed was masked while the delivery was made."

"Who had access to the server room at that hour?" Alessandro asked smoothly.

"Only the night-shift cyber technicians," Marcus replied, pulling up a personnel file. "Specifically, a new hire named Elias. He was vetted thoroughly, Boss. Spotless record. But he hasn't reported for his shift this evening."

Alessandro’s eyes narrowed into dark, lethal slits. "He ran."

"We are tracking his digital footprint now," Marcus assured him. "He can't hide from us in this city."

"He isn't hiding," Alessandro murmured, staring at the frozen frame of the security footage. "He delivered a message and vanished. He is a proxy for The Architect. We need to find him before they silence him."

Alessandro stood up, adjusting the cuffs of his unbuttoned dress shirt. "Mobilize the hunter-killer teams. Tear the city apart. I want Elias alive."
