Chapter 27

The moment Vargas’s weapon cleared Rosalie’s head, Alessandro moved with blinding, explosive speed. He crossed the marble floor in two massive strides, his heavily tattooed hands grabbing Vargas by the throat and the gun-wielding wrist. With a sickening, violent twist, Alessandro snapped the traitor’s arm, forcing him to drop the weapon. "You are finished," Alessandro growled, slamming the commander brutally against the marble pillar. The kinetic force knocked the wind entirely out of Vargas. Alessandro turned his head slightly toward Dante. "Take him to the basement. Extract every piece of information he gave the Falcones, and then send his remains back to their Don in a garbage bag." "Yes, Boss," Dante said, hauling the sobbing, broken traitor away. Alessandro turned his attention back to Rosalie. She was leaning against the wall, breathing heavily, her rosy cheeks pale but her eyes remarkably steady. "Are you harmed, Rosalie?" Alessandro asked, his terrifying demeanor softening into profound, genuine respect. "I am fine, Mr. Rizzano," Rosalie managed to say, adjusting her white apron. "I couldn't let him into the hallway. Livia is just inside." "You saved your own life, and you protected my bloodline," Alessandro stated, his voice thick with gratitude. "You are a remarkable woman. Go back inside. The threat is eliminated."
