Chapter 30

The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden cinematic light over the sprawling Rizzano estate as Alessandro returned home. He had eradicated the Falcone syndicate, consolidated the northern territories, and entirely secured his throne. The city was his, undisputed and absolute. He walked through the massive double doors of the grand foyer, shrugging off his suit jacket to reveal the intricate, artistic tattoos across his arms and chest. The mansion was pristine, peaceful, and heavily fortified. He bypassed his study and walked directly to the newly renovated east wing. He pushed open the oak doors to the playroom. Livia was sitting on a plush rug, happily assembling a puzzle, while Rosalie sat nearby, reading a book in the bright, cheerful room. "Daddy!" Livia cheered, abandoning her puzzle and running to him with her arms outstretched. Alessandro dropped to his knees, catching his beautiful daughter and pulling her securely against his broad, muscular chest. "I am home, little bird," Alessandro whispered, burying his face in her perfectly styled hair. He looked up, his cold, intimidating eyes meeting Rosalie's warm gaze. He felt a profound, unshakeable sense of completion. He had burned the world to ashes to ensure that the monsters stayed outside his gates. His empire was invincible, and his family was finally, permanently safe.
