Chapter 33

"Take Livia to the secure panic suite," Alessandro ordered, his volume incredibly low and measured. "Initiate a full tactical sweep of the estate grounds. Every blade of grass. Every shadow. Find out how this breached my perimeter."

Rosalie immediately gathered Livia, keeping the child calm with a reassuring smile, and hurried her toward the hidden steel doors of the vault.

Alessandro turned to Dante. "The Architect. Have you heard this name?"

"No, Boss," Dante replied, his fair skin pale with sudden anxiety. "It sounds like a mercenary alias, or perhaps a foreign syndicate operator. Whoever it is, they are incredibly sophisticated to bypass our thermal sensors and exterior patrols."

"They are arrogant," Alessandro corrected softly, crushing the note in his tattooed hand. "They believe a parlor trick will intimidate me."

Alessandro walked to the breached window. The cinematic, bright afternoon light poured through the glass. He inspected the sill. There were no scratches, no signs of forced entry. The window had been unlocked from the inside.

"Dante," Alessandro said, his cold eyes unblinking as he stared at the locking mechanism. "We have another rat."

The realization settled heavily over the room. The Rizzano syndicate had just purged its ranks following the Vargas betrayal, ensuring absolute loyalty. For another traitor to emerge so quickly, operating directly within the family's inner sanctum, meant the infection was deeper than anticipated.

"I want the security logs for this wing," Alessandro commanded, his voice a freezing void. "I want the background of every single guard, staff member, and technician who has entered this hallway in the last forty-eight hours. We will tear this house apart until we find the leak."
