Chapter 15

The morning sun returned to the Rizzano estate, pouring its bright, natural light through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The violent chaos of the docks felt like a distant nightmare within the pristine, white marble walls of the mansion.

Alessandro stepped into his private study. He had showered and changed into a fresh, tailored suit, looking impeccably handsome and entirely unbothered by the lack of sleep.

Livia was sitting at his heavy mahogany desk, drawing with a set of expensive crayons. Rosalie stood attentively behind her, having gently pinned the remaining, uneven curls of Livia's hair into a soft, manageable style that hid the worst of Bianca's cruel handiwork.

"Daddy, look!" Livia cheered, holding up a drawing of a bright yellow sun. "Rosalie helped me!"

Alessandro’s cold, intimidating eyes melted completely. He crossed the room and picked his daughter up, pressing a warm kiss to her rosy cheek. "It is beautiful, little bird. You are quite the artist."

"She has been an absolute angel all morning, Mr. Rizzano," Rosalie smiled softly, her crisp American accent filled with genuine affection.

"You have done exceptionally well, Rosalie," Alessandro murmured, setting Livia down so she could continue drawing. He looked at the former maid with profound respect. "You protected her peace."

Before Rosalie could respond, the heavy oak doors opened. Dante stepped into the study, his expression grave.

"We found them, Boss," Dante reported. "Don Moretti realized Bianca went rogue. He moved her to a fortified safe house in the northern hills. He is furious with her, but he is refusing to hand her over to us."

"Prepare the convoy," Alessandro said quietly, his voice dropping back into its lethal cadence. "We are going for a drive."
