Chapter 31

The profound peace that had settled over the Rizzano estate was a testament to the absolute destruction Alessandro had wrought upon his enemies. The vibrant, cinematic sunlight that bathed the manicured lawns each morning felt like a daily coronation. The Falcone syndicate was a ghost story, their territories completely absorbed, their wealth integrated into the massive Rizzano holding company. Alessandro sat in his private study, the heavy mahogany doors closed, reviewing the final financial integration reports.

"The transition is flawless, Boss," Dante reported, his American accent brisk and confident. The underboss stood across the desk, checking a secure tablet. "The northern logistics hubs are fully operational. The unions have pledged absolute loyalty to the Rizzano name."

"They pledge loyalty to power, Dante," Alessandro corrected smoothly, his deep, raspy voice a low hum. "We ensure that power remains unquestioned."

Alessandro leaned back in his leather chair, the sharp, elegant tattoos on his hands resting casually on the armrests. He was thirty-five years old, at the absolute zenith of his reign. The brutal violence of the past months had secured a fortress of stability for his daughter, Livia.

A soft knock interrupted the silence.

"Enter," Alessandro commanded.

The door opened, and Rosalie stepped into the study. She wore an elegant, understated day dress, having completely shed the traditional maid's uniform for the attire befitting the head of Livia's personal household. Her fair, rosy cheeks were slightly flushed, her expression serious.

"Mr. Rizzano," Rosalie said respectfully. "There is a situation in the east wing."

Alessandro’s cold, intimidating eyes narrowed instantly. The protective, lethal instincts of the Mafia boss flared to life. "Is Livia harmed?"

"No, sir. Livia is perfectly safe," Rosalie assured him quickly. "But we received an unexpected delivery. Addressed to her."
