Chapter 29

A gentle breeze swept across the hillside, rustling the fragrant white lilies. Adrian gently set baby Mia down on the thick grass next to her older sister, watching them play innocently in the sunlight. The sky above was a brilliant, flawless blue, entirely devoid of the dark storm clouds that had haunted their lives for the past five years.

"I am so sorry it took me this long to find you, Elena," Adrian whispered into the quiet air, his raspy voice thick with profound emotion. "I let my guard down, and you paid the ultimate price. But I swear on my soul, I will dedicate every remaining breath in my body to protecting our girls."

Dante approached quietly from the rear, bowing deeply. "Boss, the allied families have sent their tributes. The Ashford and Marcus territories have been completely assimilated into our network without any resistance."

"Excellent," Adrian replied without turning around, keeping his loving gaze fixed on the marble stone. "Distribute the assets. Ensure that the new rules are strictly enforced. Violence against families will no longer be tolerated in my city."

"Yes, sir," Dante nodded, backing away respectfully.

"Daddy, is Mommy watching us from heaven?" Clara asked, looking up with wide, hopeful eyes.

"Always, my angel," Adrian smiled, pulling her into a warm hug. "She is so proud of you."
