Chapter 26

"Just kill me, you bastard," Marcus groaned through gritted teeth, clutching his mutilated hand to his chest. "If you kill me, the Commission will hunt you down! They will never accept your half-breed children!"

Adrian casually reached into his pocket and pulled out a pristine white handkerchief, slowly wiping the crimson blood from his blade. The storm had passed, leaving an eerie, profound silence in its wake.

"The Commission?" Adrian chuckled, a dark, humorless sound that chilled the air. "Do you really think I didn't know they conspired with you? While you were playing your little game here, Dante and Leo were paying a visit to every single elder."

Marcus’s eyes widened in sheer, unadulterated horror. "You... you wiped out the entire council? You have destroyed the syndicate!"

"I didn't destroy it. I purged the rot," Adrian said smoothly, dropping the bloody cloth onto Marcus’s chest. "A new empire begins tonight. One where no man will ever dare to breathe in the direction of my daughters."

Adrian drew a gold-plated sidearm from his shoulder holster, aiming it squarely between his uncle’s panicked eyes. "Burn in hell, Marcus."

The gunshot rang out, echoing into the silent night. The final traitor was dead, cementing Adrian’s absolute, undisputed reign over the Hale syndicate. The blood had finally stopped flowing.
