Chapter 22

Six months later, the Bennett holding company, completely restructured under Claire's absolute control, had grown into a monolithic corporate and criminal powerhouse. The violent purge of Julian's syndicate and the financial annihilation of the Bennett family had sent an unmistakable message across the global underworld: Claire was a force of apocalyptic destruction.

"Elias," Claire said, her American accent crisp. "Have the European partners signed the new maritime contracts?"
"They have," Elias confirmed, stepping forward. "They were initially hesitant to accept the revised percentages, but after reviewing the... absolute dismantling of your domestic competitors, they decided compliance was the most profitable strategy."
