Chapter 17

The intelligence was actionable, and Vincent did not hesitate. He mobilized the entirety of his syndicate’s tactical resources. This was not a turf war; this was a decapitation strike.
The private jet landed in New York just before dawn. Vincent did not bring a massive army to storm the Azure Tower. A frontal assault on a fortified Manhattan skyscraper would draw the military. Instead, he brought a specialized, highly trained infiltration team.
They approached the tower not from the ground, but from the sky.
Dressed in stealth tactical gear, Vincent and his elite operatives HALO-jumped from a high-altitude aircraft, plummeting through the freezing night sky. They deployed their advanced, silent parafoils at the last possible second, landing with pinpoint accuracy on the darkened, heavily guarded roof of the Azure Tower.
The rooftop security detail, expecting threats from the elevators, was completely caught off guard. Vincent’s team neutralized the guards silently with suppressed weapons and tactical blades, securing the roof in less than two minutes.
"We are in," Silas whispered over the comms, breaching the heavy access door leading down to the top floors.
Vincent stepped into the stairwell, his suppressed submachine gun raised. He moved with the terrifying, fluid grace of an apex predator hunting in the dark. He wasn't just a CEO; he was a man who had forged his empire in blood, and he was about to remind the Five Families exactly why they should have feared him.
They descended silently to the 80th floor, the primary command center for the Commission.

"Thermal imaging shows a dozen hostiles in the main boardroom," Silas reported, checking a handheld scanner. "The heads of the Five Families are all present. They are having an emergency summit."
"Perfect," Vincent whispered, a dark, lethal smile touching his lips. "Set the breaching charges on the reinforced doors. We take them all at once."
