Chapter 5

The standoff lasted only a fraction of a second, but in the bright, cinematic light of the music room, it felt like an eternity. Camille struggled frantically, her fair, rosy face contorting in pain as she desperately tried to yank her wrist free from Adrian’s iron grip.
"Adrian, let me go! You're hurting me!" Camille shrieked, her American accent cracking with genuine panic.
"You do not... know the meaning... of hurt," Adrian whispered coldly.
With a sudden, explosive exertion of pure masculine power, Adrian tore Camille’s hand away from the space near his daughter. He didn't just push her; he violently wrenched her arm, using her own momentum to send her stumbling backward across the polished hardwood floor.
As she reeled backward, Adrian pivoted on his polished leather shoe. He raised his leg and drove a devastating, powerful front kick directly into the heavy, padded piano bench resting in front of the grand piano.
The kinetic force was catastrophic. The heavy wooden bench launched across the room like a missile. It hurtled through the bright air and crashed violently into the freestanding music rack positioned near the bay windows.
The tall, ornate metal rack buckled instantly under the massive impact. It collapsed backward with a deafening, metallic shriek, crashing directly into the towering floral concert displays and stacked instrument cases.
The entire corner of the room exploded into chaos.
Heavy instrument cases tumbled and slammed against the floorboards, popping open to reveal velvet linings. Massive ceramic vases shattered, sending water, green stems, and hundreds of vibrant, loose flowers scattering wildly across the pristine room. The beautiful, bright colors of the blossoms mixed with the destruction, creating a chaotic, surreal painting of ruin.
Camille recoiled violently, screaming in sheer terror as a shower of shattered ceramic and crushed flower petals rained down around her expensive high heels. She threw her hands over her head, dropping to her knees to protect her face from the flying debris.
The deafening crash echoed through the sprawling estate, instantly drawing the attention of the other professional bodyguards stationed in the hallway. They rushed into the room, their hands resting on their holstered weapons, completely stunned by the devastation.

There was no dialogue. The overwhelming, brutal reality of the violence silenced everyone in the room.
Adrian stood in the center of the destruction, his chest rising and falling with slow, perfectly controlled breaths. He did not look at the shattered flowers or the broken instruments. He stood like an immovable monument of wrath, his broad back continuing to shield his weeping daughter. He slowly lowered his leg, adjusting the cuffs of his crisp white dress shirt, his cold, sharp eyes locked onto the trembling woman kneeling among the ruined roses. The message was absolute: the Bellucci empire could be destroyed in a matter of seconds if anyone dared to threaten his blood.
