Chapter 14

The firefight was incredibly one-sided. The Falcone soldiers were brutal street enforcers, completely unprepared for a highly coordinated, tactical assault by elite operators wearing advanced thermal gear.

The sharp, crisp cracks of suppressed gunfire echoed down the marble hallways. Adrian moved with terrifying, fluid grace. He didn't seek deep cover; he advanced relentlessly, an unstoppable force of nature. A Falcone lieutenant stepped out from a doorway, firing blindly into the smoke. Adrian raised his weapon and fired twice, dropping the man instantly with flawless, surgical precision.

"Clear the east wing," Adrian commanded his men, his deep, raspy voice calm and measured amidst the chaos.

They swept through the floors, systematically neutralizing every hostile threat. The bright, cinematic lighting of the corporate offices was shattered, replaced by the chaotic, strobing flashes of tactical lights and muzzle fire.

Adrian kicked open the heavy mahogany doors of the primary boardroom. Don Falcone, a massive, older man with fair, sweating skin, was frantically trying to load a golden automatic pistol behind his massive desk. Three of his elite bodyguards stood in front of him, raising their weapons.

Adrian did not hesitate. He unleashed a devastating, precise burst of fire, eliminating the three guards before they could even pull their triggers. The deafening noise ceased, leaving a heavy, metallic silence in the room.

Adrian walked slowly across the plush carpet, the polished leather of his tactical boots making no sound. He stopped inches from the desk, lowering his weapon slightly, his cold, intimidating eyes locking onto the terrified Don.

"You," Falcone gasped, dropping the magazine of his weapon in his panic. "How did you..."

"You sent a rat into my home," Adrian stated softly, utilizing his terrifying, controlled pauses. "You threatened my bloodline."
