Chapter 25

The drive back to the estate was a blur of aggressive speed and absolute, terrifying focus. Lorenzo sat in the passenger seat of the armored SUV, systematically checking his weapons, his handsome, bearded face carved into a mask of pure, unrelenting fury.
He contacted Sofia directly on her dedicated emergency line.
"Dad?" Sofia answered, her voice trembling slightly. She could hear the sirens wailing in the background.
"Are you in the panic room, Sofia?" Lorenzo asked, forcing his tone to remain calm and grounding for his daughter.
"Yes. The babies are safe," Sofia promised. "The security doors sealed perfectly. But I can hear gunfire outside."
"Stay in that room. Do not open the door for anyone except me," Lorenzo commanded, his American accent sharp and unyielding. "I am almost there. I will handle this."
The SUV tore through the wrought-iron gates of the estate, which had been blown off their hinges. The sprawling, manicured lawns were illuminated by the erratic flashes of gunfire as the Ravelli estate guards engaged the invading mercenary force.
Lorenzo didn't wait for the vehicle to fully stop. He threw the heavy, armored door open and stepped out into the chaotic crossfire. He didn't seek cover; he moved with the terrifying, inevitable grace of a predator.

"Covering fire!" Lorenzo ordered his tactical team as they deployed behind him.
He raised his suppressed submachine gun, his eyes locking onto a group of mercenaries attempting to breach the main entrance of the mansion. Lorenzo fired flawlessly, his weapon coughing in the darkness, neutralizing the hostiles with surgical, deadly precision. He was a father defending his bloodline, an apex predator protecting his territory, and he would not be stopped.
