Chapter 9

The heavy metal doors of the warehouse were blown entirely off their hinges by a synchronized, explosive breach. Smoke and dust billowed into the dimly lit interior.
Through the chaos, Luciano and his heavily armed capos poured into the massive space. The bright, cinematic flashes of muzzle fire illuminated the cavernous warehouse, casting erratic, violent shadows against the concrete walls.
"Now!" Luciano roared, his deep, raspy voice cutting through the deafening noise.
The Moretti soldiers unleashed a devastating, coordinated crossfire. The Petrov lieutenants, caught completely by surprise and expecting a single extraction van, were entirely outgunned. They scrambled for cover behind wooden crates and rusted machinery, returning sporadic, panicked fire.
Luciano moved with terrifying, lethal precision. He didn't crouch, and he didn't seek cover. His deeply masculine, intimidating presence anchored the morale of every man in the room. He advanced slowly through the warehouse, his polished leather shoes crunching over broken glass and spent shell casings. He fired in controlled, measured bursts, his sharply defined jawline locked in absolute concentration. Every trigger pull was a calculated execution.
"Push them back!" Luciano commanded, stepping calmly over the fallen body of a Petrov soldier. "Do not let them reach the offices!"
The bodyguards surged forward, inspired by their Boss’s fearless advance. The Petrov men, realizing they had walked into a slaughterhouse, broke formation. Panic set in as they realized the extraction was a trap.
"It's Moretti!" a Petrov lieutenant screamed, his voice cracking with terror as he recognized the towering figure advancing through the smoke. "He knows!"
Luciano’s cold, sharp eyes locked onto the man who had yelled. He raised his suppressed pistol and fired twice. The lieutenant collapsed instantly.
Within minutes, the vast warehouse fell silent. The remaining Petrov soldiers dropped their weapons and surrendered, dropping to their knees on the cold concrete floor.
Luciano stood in the center of the carnage, his tailored dark suit completely untouched despite the chaos. He looked down at the defeated men, his cold eyes devoid of any mercy. He had sent a message that would echo through the underworld for decades.
"Boss," Vincenzo said, jogging up to him, his face smeared with soot. "The perimeter is secure. We have survivors."
"Lock them in the shipping containers," Luciano ordered softly. "I will interrogate them later. I need to finish this."
He walked toward the elevated office complex at the back of the warehouse. He climbed the metal stairs, his boots echoing loudly. He kicked the office door open.
Inside, cowering beneath a metal desk, was the senior Petrov capo responsible for orchestrating the kidnapping deal.
Luciano walked slowly toward the desk. He reached down with his powerful, masculine hand and dragged the terrified man out by his collar, throwing him roughly onto the floor.
"You thought you could buy my blood," Luciano whispered, staring down at the trembling capo.
"Please, Moretti," the capo begged, holding his hands up. "It was just business! We wanted leverage for the ports!"
May you like
"My daughter. Is not leverage," Luciano stated, his voice a freezing void. He raised his weapon, the cold steel gleaming under the harsh overhead light. "She is my heart. And you tried to stop it."
He squeezed the trigger, ending the negotiation permanently.
