Chapter 15

"You're lying!" Jonathan screamed, his composure shattering like brittle glass. He lunged across the mahogany table, furiously tapping at his terminal. "You couldn't have executed that without a majority board consensus! The algorithms would have instantly blocked a unilateral liquidation order!" "I didn't need the board's consensus," Eleanor replied smoothly, holding up her encrypted terminal. "When I broke the red thread and called Harrison from the foyer, I didn't just tell him I was done hiding. I commanded him to unfreeze the shadow trusts and lift all restrictions immediately." Arthur stepped forward, his massive frame radiating lethal intent. "My daughter holds fifty-one percent of the shadow equity, Jonathan. She doesn't need a board vote. She is the board." On the massive screens, the remote executives were erupting in sheer panic. One by one, their video feeds abruptly went dark as they frantically disconnected to salvage their own bleeding portfolios. Jonathan watched his supposed loyalists abandon him in real-time, his face turning an ashen, lifeless white. "You intentionally destroyed a nine-figure acquisition just to spite me?" Jonathan choked out, his chest heaving with panicked breaths. "You're completely insane, Eleanor!" "I destroyed Marcus Sterling because his spoiled, arrogant whore of a daughter struck my five-year-old child in the face," Eleanor corrected, her voice vibrating with a mother’s murderous rage. "And I am destroying you because you tried to drug my daughter and ship her to a private medical facility in Zurich." "It was just a business maneuver!" Jonathan pleaded desperately, echoing the exact same pathetic excuse Julian had used on the ballroom floor. "I didn't want to hurt the girl! I just needed her out of the jurisdiction so you wouldn't have the leverage to return!" "You conspired to commit interstate kidnapping," Eleanor said, stepping deliberately around the edge of the long table, closing the distance between them. "You weaponized the Master Sovereign key against your own bloodline." Jonathan scrambled backward, his polished shoes slipping on the spilled scotch. "Father, do something! You can't let her do this! I am your son!" "I have no son," Arthur said softly, his gray eyes devoid of all mercy. "I only have an heir."
