Chapter 1

The private Mafia charity motorcycle rally was in full swing, transforming the expansive courtyard of the Chicago estate into a brilliant, vivid spectacle. The bright colors of the video-like setting were striking against the cloudless afternoon sky. Rows of custom-built, polished motorcycles gleamed in the sunlight, reflecting the wealth and power of the Moretti syndicate. The courtyard was meticulously organized with modular helmet lockers, rolling maintenance-pad carts, foam wheel chocks, collapsible sponsor frames, riding-glove bins, and padded equipment cases arranged with precision.
The guests, an exclusive gathering of white American adults comprising capos, associates, and bodyguards, mingled around the expensive machines. Their fair, rosy skin glowed under the sun, and the air was filled with the smooth, melodic hum of crisp American accents and the occasional revving of a high-performance engine.
Yet, amid the opulence and forced camaraderie, a sickening display of cruelty was unfolding near the estate's heavy oak doors, hidden slightly by a large sponsor frame.
Three-year-old Lily Moretti, dressed in an elegant child’s rally outfit, a soft cardigan, tailored trousers, and pristine white sneakers, stood trembling. Her fair, rosy cheeks were stained with fresh tears. In her small, fragile hand, she clutched a dark, grease-stained shoe-polishing cloth.
Standing over her was Vanessa Moretti, her thirty-eight-year-old stepmother. Vanessa was the picture of aristocratic arrogance, wearing an elegant rally outfit that hugged her figure, expensive jewelry sparkling at her throat and wrists, and sharp designer heels. Her face was twisted into a mask of pure, unadulterated malice.
Beside Vanessa stood her brother, Grant Cole. At forty-three years old, the Mafia associate exuded a sleazy, violent energy. He wore a luxury biker-style leather jacket draped over formal clothing, an expensive wristwatch, and heavy, scuffed leather boots.
"Get down," Vanessa ordered, her voice a sharp, venomous hiss.
"But I want my Daddy," Lily whimpered, taking a tiny step backward.
"Your father isn't here, you little brat," Vanessa snapped, stepping forward.
Without a shred of hesitation, Vanessa grabbed Lily roughly by both of her small shoulders. Her manicured fingers dug painfully into the child's cardigan. With a violent, aggressive downward thrust, Vanessa forcefully shoved the three-year-old girl onto both of her knees on the hard pavement.
Lily let out a sharp gasp, her eyes filling with absolute terror.
Vanessa pressed the dirty polishing cloth brutally into the little girl’s trembling hand. Then, with a sickening smirk, Vanessa physically pushed Grant’s heavy, dirty leather boot directly toward the child's face.

"Clean it properly," Vanessa sneered, laughing viciously as she looked down at the weeping toddler. The bright sunlight illuminated the sheer, psychopathic malice in her eyes. "He outranks you."
Grant chuckled, a low, grating sound, completely willing to let the three-year-old heir to the Moretti empire humiliate herself at his feet. The surrounding guests, several powerful capos, and their wives watched in silence, their faces pale, terrified to intervene against the Boss's wife.
