Chapter 19

Aldric stared at the monitor, his posture projecting absolute, regal dominance. He didn't flinch at the sight of the legendary cartel boss.

"I don't make miscalculations, Roman," Aldric replied smoothly, his American accent crisp and lethal. "I make corrections. You sent your dogs to my house. I put them down."

"You stole fifty million dollars from my accounts!" Roman roared, slamming his fist onto his desk. "You think you can play cyber-games with me? I have an army! I will burn your corporate tower to the ground, and I will slaughter everyone inside it!"

"You will try," Aldric corrected softly. "But you are currently speaking on an unencrypted visual relay. Did your tech team forget to mask your IP address, or did my cyber division simply override your firewalls?"

Roman froze on the screen, a flicker of genuine panic crossing his scarred face. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm tracing this call, Roman," Aldric stated, looking at his smartwatch. "You are broadcasting from a compound in Miami. Specifically, the penthouse of the Azure Tower."

"You bluffing bastard," Roman hissed, though his eyes darted nervously off-screen.

"I don't bluff," Aldric said, his voice dropping into a deadly rumble. "I have already forwarded your exact coordinates, along with the decrypted ledgers of your human trafficking operations, to the FBI's counter-terrorism unit. They are breaching your lobby right now."

On the video feed, the sound of heavy explosions and shouting erupted in the background. Roman looked back at the camera in sheer, unadulterated terror.

"You're a dead man, Vance!" Roman screamed, drawing a weapon just as his office doors blew inward.

Aldric calmly pressed a button, terminating the feed. The screen went black.
