Chapter 1

The bright, cinematic colors of the afternoon sun flooded the massive, open-air garage of the Bellucci estate. The natural light poured over the polished concrete floors, perfectly balanced with no harsh yellow tint, illuminating the pristine collection of luxury vehicles. It was a space designed to showcase absolute wealth, yet in the center of the brilliant lighting, a dark and sickening cruelty was unfolding.

Three-year-old Leo Bellucci knelt on the hard concrete beside a gleaming, midnight-blue luxury sedan. His fair, rosy skin was smeared with grease and dirt. Unlike the heir to a massive syndicate, the toddler was dressed in torn, filthy clothes that hung loosely on his small frame. His tiny, trembling hands gripped a soaking wet cleaning cloth. He scrubbed frantically at the lower door panel of the expensive vehicle, his breath coming in short, panicked hiccups.

Standing over him was Helena Bellucci. At forty-two years old, Carmine’s older cousin exuded aristocratic arrogance. She wore a pristine, expensive white silk blouse, perfectly tailored trousers, and sharp designer heels. Heavy diamond jewelry caught the bright sunlight, and her fair, powdered face was twisted into a mask of pure, unadulterated malice. In one hand, she loosely held a luxury car key fob.

"You missed a spot right there, you little brat," Helena snapped, her crisp American accent echoing sharply off the high walls of the garage.

"I'm trying, Auntie Helena," Leo whimpered, his small arms shaking violently from exhaustion. "My hands are really cold."

"I did not ask for excuses," Helena replied, her eyes narrowing with vicious delight. "I asked for a spotless door."

Helena reached down and grabbed the handle of a heavy plastic bucket filled with icy, soapy water. Without a fraction of hesitation, she swung the bucket forward, pouring the freezing water directly over the three-year-old boy.

Leo gasped in absolute shock, his small body convulsing as the icy water soaked through his torn clothes, chilling him to the bone.

Helena leaned down, her expensive heels clicking on the concrete. She snatched the soaking wet cleaning cloth from his trembling hands and pressed it firmly, almost brutally, against his small chest, forcing him to take it back.

"Start over," Helena commanded coldly, her eyes devoid of any human empathy. "No clean car, no dinner."

May you like

"Please," Leo sobbed, fresh tears carving clean lines through the dirt on his rosy cheeks. "I'm so tired."

"Servants don't get tired," Helena sneered, taking a step back to admire her spotless luxury car. "And until you learn respect, that is exactly what you are."
