Chapter 24

The abandoned lumber mill was a sprawling, rusted labyrinth of corrugated steel and decaying wood, situated deep in the freezing northern woods. The night was pitch black, illuminated only by the faint, flickering light of a few barrel fires burning inside the main warehouse.
Dominic’s armored convoy arrived in absolute silence, cutting their headlights miles before the target.
"Thermal imaging shows twenty hostiles inside, Boss," Tony whispered over the encrypted comms, observing through a sniper scope. "They have our drivers tied to chairs in the center of the mill."
"No negotiation," Dominic ordered, racking the slide of his suppressed automatic rifle. He wore heavy, black tactical gear over his crisp dress shirt. "We breach from the roof and the rear loading docks simultaneously. Execute."
The assault was a masterclass in surgical, overwhelming violence. The Falcone operators dropped through the rusted skylights like phantoms, their high-intensity tactical lights blinding the Montreal mercenaries.
The sharp, deafening cracks of suppressed gunfire echoed through the cavernous mill.
Dominic moved relentlessly, a monolithic figure of death. He didn't seek cover. He fired with flawless, robotic precision, dropping three heavily armed mercenaries before they could even aim their weapons. The Montreal cartel, expecting a disorganized rescue attempt, found themselves trapped in a slaughterhouse.
Within four minutes, the warehouse was entirely secured. The hostiles were annihilated.
Dominic walked slowly across the bloodstained concrete, his polished combat boots making no sound. He approached the Montreal lieutenant, who was bleeding out from a chest wound.
"You crossed the border," Dominic stated softly, his volume incredibly low.

"Go to hell," the lieutenant spat.
Dominic didn't hesitate. He pulled the trigger, ending the threat permanently. "Cut the drivers loose," he commanded his men. "Burn the mill to the ground. Let the ashes send the message."
